How a tug of war competition in Linköping, Östergötland, Sweden brings all students around Sweden to participate in this event.
Dra’t i Spa’t also known as “Draget”, is the biggest tug of war competition arranged by a student union called Clubmästeriet(CM) in Linköping, Östergötland, Sweden. The student union represent the economic program at Linköping University. They are arranging these kind of events every year, and the tug of war competition is one of their biggest event in the start of autumn. The event is open for all student in Sweden to compete, have fun and meet new friends. This particularly day when the event takes place consist of three parts. The first part is the main event which is the tug of war competition that are held in the morning. It has been a tradition that a group of student from Chalmers University in Sweden attend the event and help during the competition. Svea Skivgarde together with Valla Skivgarde are in charge of bringing fresh tracks during the event. Later on the students are invited to join a dinner with entertainment. After the dinner the final party starts Linköpings University. For this years party Kapten Röd( Captain Red) performed on the stage.
Clubmästeriet asked Art Svanberg if he would be interested in capturing this event. The instruction was for Art to be as creative as possible. He had during 2015 made an aftermovie for this event as well, and it’s live on Arts YouTube channel. Art have previous experience of this high energy, water and mud event! But that didn’t stop Art to get as close as possible to the action. Most of the footage was shot on the Sony Alpha S Mark ii with a Canon EF 17-40 L F/4.0 mounted on a Zhiyun Crane 2.
